Registration Information for Season 2012 *Updated

That time of year is upon us. It is time to register to play football (soccer).

This year, registering online is the Football Federation of Autralia's (FFA) preferred method however payments must be made in person during one of the registration sessions listed below.

Registration can also be performed at the Belmont 16's on the following dates and times:

*   Saturday 4th of February 9:00am until 2:00pm - Belmont Room
*   Wednesday 8th of February 5:00pm until 7:30pm - Macquarie Room
*   Sunday 12th of February 9:00am until 1:00pm - Belmont Room

How much will it cost?

These costs are yet to be ratified by Macquarie but it is anticipated that they will not change.

U/6 - U/7 - $140
U/8 - U/11 - $150
U/12 - U/18 - $175
All Age & O/35 Players - $260

IMPORTANT NOTE: The deadline for fee payment is Saturday 3rd March 2012. Any players that are unfinancial at this date will not be allocated to a team.

Belmont FC Committee for Season 2012

The Belmont FC Annual General Meeting was held on 17/10/2011 at the Belmont 16's and the committee for the 2012 season has been formed.

Congratulations to those who have gained positions within the club for the upcoming season.

There are still positions available within the Belmont FC committee and it would be great to see them filled. If anyone is interested in taking on a position please contact one of the committee members to find out what positions are available and the required process.

Congratulations to Belmont FC U16G/B

Congratulations to the Belmont U16G/B team for winning their Grand Final match on Sunday 11/09/11 against Edgeworth with a scoreline of 2-0 making them the Minor & Major Premiers of their competition.

Trivia Night Wrap Up

Approximately 90 Belmont FC members and supporters tested their knowledge last Saturday night.

The 2011 Belmont FC Trivia Night, held at Belmont 16 Footers, once again proved to be a highlight on our event calendar.

Our Coaching Coordinator, Clint Starrett, performed the role of MC and Trivia Chair, along with Mark Harrison fighting for the microphone, were a hit with the guests.

Some players were up to date on the Sporting and Science questions, while others specialised in the Entertainment and Who Am I questions. All players added to the answer sheets which kept the team scores tight.

Highlights of the evening were the coin tossing and paper plane challenges, with some unique and entertaining techniques used.

The team that was victorious in the trivia on the night took home $150 cash.

Many players walked away with one or some of the many prizes, which included three Newcastle Jets signed guernsey's, earrings, bottles of wine and spirits, gift vouchers and wine glasses just to name a few.

Belmont FC President, Mark Harrison, closed the night acknowledging the outstanding efforts of Melissa Symington, Charmaine Bax and Tracy Starrett in preparing for the night (which raised approximately $1100). He added by thanking all of those who attended, and also acknowledging all of those responsible for providing the prizes (a list of the donators will be placed on the website in the future).

Ground Vandalised

Ground 1 has been damaged due to vandalism.

It has been damaged through the use of a vehicle (thought to be a large radio controlled vehicle).

Belmont FC directors and volunteers have put a lot of time and effort and the club has spent considerable money into getting the grounds into the great condition that they have been for the start of this season. This time, effort and money has been compromised by the inconsiderate behaviour of those who decided that despite the grounds being closed, their own entertainment was more important.

All of the efforts by parents, familes, friends and committee members are aimed at providing a suitable club in which players can participate in team sport. Through acts of vandalism such as what has happened, it is the players of the club that are the ones who are effected the most. Our Small Sided Footballers, Juniors and All Age are the ones who will miss out on training and playing through what can be deemed as and act of selfishness.
